Sevada Scoring Power, Christie Double Trouble, Send The Reaper to the Winner’s Circle

Adam Sevada delivered a commanding performance Sunday in Oakbrook Terrace, capturing the Boomerang Tours Fiesta title with a 7-2 victory over Darryl Christie to earn his fifth CDC Tour win of the 2025 season.

Sevada was clinical from start to finish, posting a 91.37 average, second only to Jacob Taylor (91.95), and produced a blistering 107.70 first-nine average – more than 10 points clear of anyone else in the field. After wins over Jason Brandon, Alex Spellman, and Christie, Sevada widened his lead in the 2025 Tour Points standings and took another step toward securing a trip to the PDC World Darts Championship.

The final told the story of missed chances for Christie, who failed to convert key doubles that could have leveled the match at 2-2 or clawed back a break in leg five. Still, his run to the final – his second on the CDC Tour this year – narrows the gap on David Cameron for the top Canadian spot on the Tour Points table, with a World Championship berth on the line.

Jacob Taylor, despite leading the field in average for the second straight event, once again saw his campaign cut short – this time in the quarterfinals in a deciding leg thriller at the hands of Christie. Meanwhile, Alex Spellman led the tournament in 180s, firing in 11, three more than Christie.

Sevada’s semifinal win came over Spellman (7–2), while Christie defeated Stowe Buntz by the same scoreline. In a day where chalk was king, Christie was the only unseeded player to advance beyond the last-16.

As the dust settles in Chicago, all eyes now turn to Indianapolis, where the 2025 CDC regular season concludes September 19–21. With three events remaining, Tour Cards, Continental Cup places, and three World Championship berths remain up for grabs.
