Cameron Wins Heavyweight Final to Claim Winmau Darts Masters

David Cameron added another title to his decorated CDC résumé on Saturday, defeating Adam Sevada 7-5 to win the Winmau Darts Masters in Oakbrook Terrace.

The second seed claimed his 11th career CDC Main Event title, adding to his Cross-Border Darts Challenge victory earlier this year. Cameron is also firmly on course to appear in Newfoundland in November, where he will look to secure a first Continental Cup crown and complete the CDC “trifecta.”

Cameron’s title run came through a demanding final day, beginning with a 6-5 quarterfinal victory over Michael Nguyen before a 7-3 semifinal win over Fred Krueger.

Nguyen again impressed in defeat, reaching the quarterfinals for the second time in 2026. His run included a Last-16 victory over seventh seed Nick Linberg, before he pushed eventual champion Cameron to a last-leg decider.

Jeremiah Millar also continued his encouraging form, reaching the quarterfinals for the second time this season as he continues to make adjustments to his game. He will look to carry that momentum into Sunday’s DartConnect Challenge, with a top-24 place, and a spot in the Continental Cup, still firmly in his sights.

Kevin Luke produced another strong showing in his return to the CDC Tour, reaching his second semifinal in six events after being away from the Circuit since 2022. Luke opened the day by defeating reigning Continental Cup champion Alex Spellman 5-2, despite Spellman posting the highest losing average of the event at 90.06.

Spellman’s early exit continued a string of premature defeats, although the numbers suggested he again had little margin for error on a day when luck and timing were not on his side.

Fred Krueger also maintained his strong season with another quarterfinal win, defeating Doug Boehm 6-3 before falling to Cameron in the semifinals. Krueger’s 86.50 average across 42 legs was the best of any player in the field who played more than one match.

Sevada, meanwhile, came through a last-leg decider of his own against ninth seed Kiley Edmunds in the quarterfinals, before seeing off Luke 7-3 to reach the final. The top seed also led the field with 11 maximums, two more than Linberg.

The Oakbrook Terrace weekend concludes on Sunday with the DartConnect Challenge, the final CDC Sunday Special of the season, which will be played in a Matchplay-style format requiring players to win by two clear legs.
