DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Washington Area Open as the Summer Series concludes with The CDC Congressional presented by A-Z Darts!\nThis is a UK-Open Style long-format 501 event where the bracket is redrawn with the remaining players after each round. Open registration to a maximum of 64 players. Registration is on a first-come/first-served basis.\nThis event is part of the CDC Summer Series and non-CDC Tour Card holders will accrue points on the CDC Associates List, which is used to fill spots in CDC main events when there are fewer than 64 Tour Card holders registered.\n(Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the US or Canada and have not played a PDC event under another country’s flag in the past five years to accrue points on the Associates List.)\nEVENT FORMAT:\n\n\nStraight knockout bracket\n501 SI/DO\nBest-of-9 legs (best-of-11 in the semifinal and final)\nBracket re-drawn at the conclusion of each round.\n\nRegistration fee: $50.00 USD (plus registration platform fee) in advance / $60.00 USD onsite for any remaining spots. The only way to guarantee yourself a spot is to register online and EARLY as this event will likely sell out as it has in the past!\n\nCDC Bull-shot rule is in effect – player on the top of the bracket MUST throw for the bull first. No measurement – two darts outside the 25 or 50 result in a re-throw in reverse order, as do ties in the 25/50. Winner of the bull starts the odd-numbered legs. Loser of the bull starts the even-numbered legs. There will be NO re-bull for a deciding leg.\nCDC Dress Code is in effect: Business casual clothes (khakis or dress pants with a collared shirt.) No denim or shorts. Dress shoes or all-black sneakers are acceptable.\nThere will be NO drinking of alcohol allowed during matches. Players will be allowed to drink only the water provided by the tournament staff while engaged in a match. Alcohol consumption is allowed between matches.\nThis is a loser-marks event. The first match on each board will be marked/scored by the last player drawn onto that board. Each subsequent match will be marked/scored by the loser of the previous match.\nPAYOUTS (in USD):\n1st: $800\n2nd: $400\nTop 4: $200\nTop 8: $100 (Minimum of 24 entries required for Top-8 payout)\nPlease direct any questions to the tournament staff onsite or to info@champdarts.com ( mailto:info@champdarts.com ) in advance.\nGood luck!\n
