SUMMARY:Summer Series – The CDC Midwest Melee
DESCRIPTION:Short Legs / Long Format! \nCDC hearkens back to the days of the North American Open as we roll out a 301 DI/DO event for the 2023 Summer Series! Held onsite at the Cleveland Extravaganza, the Midwest Melee is an event you don’t want to miss! Open registration on a first-come/first-served basis to a maximum of 64 players.\nEVENT FORMAT:\n\n\nStraight knockout bracket\n301 DI/DO\nBest-of-11 legs\n\nRegistration fee: $50.00 USD (plus registration platform fee) in advance / $60.00 USD onsite for any remaining spots. The only way to guarantee yourself a spot is to register in advance as this event is likely to sell out!\n\n\nTop finishers will accrue points on the 2023 Summer Series Order of Merit with a 2024 CDC Tour Card and full entry fee sponsorship going to the player at the top of the OoM at the conclusion of the Summer Series!\nCDC Bull-shot rule is in effect – the player on the top of the bracket MUST throw for the bull first. No measurement – two darts outside the 25 or 50 result in a re-throw in reverse order, as do ties in the 25/50. Winner of the bull starts the odd-numbered legs. Loser of the bull starts the even-numbered legs.\nCDC Dress Code is in effect: Business casual clothes (khakis or dress pants with a collared shirt.) No denim or shorts. Dress shoes or all-black sneakers are acceptable.\nThere will be NO drinking of alcohol allowed during matches. Players will be allowed to drink only the water provided by the tournament staff while engaged in a match. Alcohol consumption is allowed between matches.\nThis is a loser-marks event. The first match on each board will be marked/scored by the last player drawn onto that board.
